Are you looking for swoon-worthy fantasy romance books without spice? We’re here to help. My name is Sara, and I’m a high school teacher and a mother of teenagers. For a while now, I’ve been on a mission to find clean YA fantasy romance books for teens, and I’ve found some great options.
Below, you’ll find our list of fabulous fantasy romance books without spice. This list will consist of books we have read and some we have not. Readers, authors, and friends have made suggestions, and we’ve added them here. If you want a list of books we have read and can vouch for, please see our master list of all genres called Clean YA Books for Teens, Tweens, or Anyone.
(By the way, the term spice is a popular measure of the “spicy scenes” in a book, especially on Instagram and TikTok. Readers will often give the book a spice-level. I’ll only recommend no-spice books.)
**This page is in progress. Please help us build our list! Make your clean YA fantasy romance book suggestions in the comments!

What is a no-spice book?
To me, a no-spice book has no on-page sex or sexual situations. I recommend books with kissing only.
